The Championships Tipping Competition

The Championships kick off in Sydney this Saturday and in conjunction with the Australian Turf Club we are giving you a chance to prove you are a champion tipster - or at the very least better than some of the Winning Post experts.

All you need to do is select EIGHT horses, ONE jockey and ONE trainer who you think will accrue the most points in the eight Group 1 races that make up The Championships.

Points will be allocated on the basis of five for first, three for second and one for third, in the following races:

  • Australian Derby (three-year-olds, set weights, 2400m)
  • TJ Smith Stakes (weight-for-age, 1200m)
  • The Doncaster Mile (1600m)
  • Inglis Sires' (two-year-olds, set weights, 1400m)
  • Australian Oaks (three-year-old fillies, set weights, 2400m)
  • Sydney Cup (3200m)
  • Queen of the Turf Stakes (mares weight-for-age, 1600m)
  • Queen Elizabeth Stakes (weight-for-age, 2000m)

Entries Close: 11am on Saturday April 12th 2014.

Prizes

Whoever accrues the most points will win a six-month Australian Turf Club membership. That's entry to all meetings at Randwick, Rosehill, Warwick Farm and Canterbury until November, including all of the ATC spring carnival races.

In addition the top three points earners will win a 12-month subscription to www.racingnetwork.com.au.

In the event of a tie for first, there will be a tip-off on the All Aged Stakes meeting at Randwick on April 26.
