G-M Galante (4/3/05): The 2003 Carbine Club Stakes runner-up is now a hack after being retired because of injury. The winner of that race, Who Did It lost his way a bit but has since moved to Perth and recaptured his best form. Gettable (19/3/04): Bolted in on debut at Morphettville last year. He was sold to race in Hong Kong, where he has won two of his nine starts under the name Upbeat. Getting Personal (31/1/02): Did a tendon and has been retired to stud. Gleeso (28/11/03): Retired with tendon troubles. Golden Snitch (3/6/05): Last year's Lightning Stakes winner Eagle Farm is back in work to have another tilt at the race. She finished third in a trial at the Gold Coast on April 26. Grey Alex (16/7/04): The old-timer went to the paddock after 96 starts for 13 wins and 20 placings. He is relishing his retirement. Grey Rose (17/3/03): Unable to have foals, but enjoying retirement in a paddock in Pearcedale (Vic) with another retiree, Koorana Strike. Gunnamatta (4/3/05): He has been retired after missing out at his attempt to win four Mornington Cups. Hadawine (19/11/04): The former steeplechaser has been retired to be a "quiet hack" up in the mountain country of Victoria. Hairy McLairy (29/11/03): Won at his first start in Macau last weekend. Haltemann (24/1/04): Had to be put down due to a badly decayed bone in his leg. Trainer Tony Krushka says he was the best horse he's had. Hasna (2/4/06): Gai Waterhouse's classy two-year-old filly, who completed the AJC Sires'-Champagne Stakes double, had a filly to Encosta De Lago last year. She has since been served by Rock Of Gibraltor.
Heiby Reiby (22/10/04): He was retired to his owners' property at Wilberforce after having troubles with his feet.
Here's The Prince (31/1/02): Retired to a show jumping career. Holy Roller (19/11/04): The giant gelding is now a dressage horse with Rick Hoare. Apparently he has reached "intermediate" level. Innovation Girl (3/6/05) Brian Mayfield-Smith's classy sprinting filly has foaled an unraced Dehere colt and was served by Dehere again last year. I'm In Heaven (3/6/05): Peter Moody's capable mare was retired to stud after a mixed spring campaign. She was served by Testa Rossa a week before her final race at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day. Imperatrice (25/7/03): Foal by Grand Lodge sold for $80,000. Second by Fusaichi Pegasus. Insatiabelle (19/3/04): She has been retired to stud and is in foal to Blevic. Into The Night (6/6/04): Back in work now. Will be set for the Missile Stakes or one of the early weight-for-age races in Melbourne. The plan is to step him up to a mile this time in. Jezabeel (19/11/04): The 1999 Melbourne Cup winner has had one foal to race. The daughter of Danehill, called Eighth Wonder, has had five starts for a third at Gosford. Jezabeel foaled a full brother in 2002 that was sold to Hong Kong interests for $250,000. Joss Sticks (14/2/03): Passed away after succumbing to illness while still in work. Juggler (22/1/03): Show horse showing Olympic potential. Kaaptive Bird (3/6/05): The former Greg Eurell trained mare had a colt to Lion Cavern in 2003. She missed the following year but was recently served by the imported sire Beckett. Keely's Gift (5/3/03): Was a bad windsucker and has been retired to stud. Served by Kohaylan. Keep The Faith (22/10/04): Is now with Godolphin. We think he may be spelling in Dubai with the plan of racing in England next year, before heading to Darley Stud. Khaptingly (23/7/04): Happily grazing the paddocks of a property outside Ballarat. Koorana Strike (17/3/03): Enjoying life with fellow retiree Grey Rose in Pearcedale (Vic). Landsighting (17/1/03): Retired. Laurinel Argie (23/1/04): In foal to Semipalatinsk. Lisa's Game (6/10/03): At stud. First foal, Twelve To Twilight, is unraced 3YO with T Vasil.
Little Millie (22/10/04): She has had bone chips removed from her knees and will be back after Christmas.
Live Theatre (13/6/03): Racing in Hong Kong as Asali. Unplaced first three runs. London Eye (9/2/02): Races as Fantasy in HK. Trained by K.W. Lui. Machtig Mihi Panis (31/1/02): Bled for the second time when second to Pittance in the Eyeliner. Now with Michelle Lang, who is hoping to ride him in the show jumping at the Olympics. Problem is, he still thinks he's a racehorse. Madras (28/12/02): Suffered 12-month injury. Back late autumn or spring. Mahogany (12/12/03): On Kerry Packer's property.
Maid Of Orleans (21/1/05): The multiple Canterbury winner has foaled colts to Grand Lodge and Thunder Gulch.
Maltese Edition (2/7/04): Retired after tendon trouble and sold to Joanne Capper, wife of great 1980s Sydney Swans full forward Warrick. Spends his days on the Cappers' property.
Mannakarma (19/11/04): racing in Singapore, where he has managed four placings from five starts.
Marscent (17/3/03): Retired and living a life of luxury in a paddock in Pearcedale (Vic). Maythehorsebewithu (4/3/05): He has been retired to the care of one of the girls from Michael Moroney's stable. Meteor Miss (10/9/04): After winning her debut race at Caulfield in late 2000 she was sold to interests in Singapore. She had three unplaced runs up there. Mighty Macarno (8/8/03): Is a girl's pony club horse in Warrnambool. Mighty Way (2/7/04): He retired after a hip problem. He is now a hack for a friend of jockey Cameron Quilty. Ming Dynasty (8/8/03): Put down in May 2002 after being diagnosed with cancer. Miss Conviction (31/3/03): At stud. First foal went for $32,000 at Adelaide Magic Millions. Mister Omega (16/7/04): Broke down in last year's Kilcoy Cup but still finished only two lengths from the winner. He has since been retired to owner, trainer and breeder Paul Nolan's property. "He is part of the family, he minds the foals and generally gets in the way," he said. Mr Sands (14/11/03): Did a suspensory, retired to his birthplace in SA.
Mr Prudent (21/1/05): The 2002 Melbourne Cup runner-up has been retired to his owner's property in New South Wales. Murphy's Blu Boy (3/6/05): The former boom two-year-old was retired after failing to come up after a second throat operation. He will stand at stud at Baerami Thoroughbreds in New South Wales.
