Careful whispers
One thing that was generally missed by racegoers at the ’Bool last week was the horse skills of the Akubra-wearing steward, Sally Miller.
A fractious runner refused to leave the mounting yard, ignoring the attempts of the strapper to coax it on to the track. Sally just walked up to the horse, whispered something and led it out with no further incident.
Whilst on the subject of the ’Bool, congratulations to the club for another great and memorable carnival but could they please bring back the stubby holder that has all the Grand Annual winners on it?
