What an absolute disgrace that punters are not offered their money back in the circumstance of a race meeting being transferred to a different track midway through the day, as occurred at the Randwick meeting last weekend.
It is greed at best. At worst? Well, the TAB is keeping money it shouldn’t be keeping so the term could be left up to your imagination.
Make no mistake, the Randwick track is different from the Kensington track — quite different. And the fact that extra scratchings resulted from the change of track meant the races I bet on in advance were not the races that I bet on — they were completely different events. I want my money back.
No wonder punters are exploring other means of wagering on horses and sports. We are looking for a fairer means of betting.
