Best? Then prove it

Congratulations to Bart Cummings for another Group 1 win with So You Think (in 2:07:4).

When the nine-year-old Fields of Omagh won his second Cox Plate (2006), many claimed it was one of the weakest Cox Plate fields. He beat El Segundo and some other good types in 2:06:9.

But who did So You Think beat? Zipping, a nine-year-old who ran eighth to El Segundo in 2007, and of course Whobegotyou (probably the run of the race). So was this a "weak" field too?

Bart and Dato Tan Chin Nam should simply take So You Think to the Mackinnon Stakes and, after he wins that, spell him. They should forget the Melbourne Cup.

If So You Think is the best horse in the world, as some are now claiming, there is really only one race to prove it … next year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
