Where to be
The 150-year-old Werribee Racing Club is very much back in business.
The club is to be congratulated on a very successful race meeting last Saturday — the first after a three-year track closure.
The new track looked magnificent and, as far as I could see, raced truly. A very large crowd was on course and all appeared to enjoy the competitive racing.
Of particular interest to the writer was the large number of younger people present. If the club is able to capture and hold this particular demographic then its future is assured.
