I read in total disgust "His dam is where? Turnitup!" (WP Thoroughbreds 4/6).
A mare called No Finding (aptly named) was turned loose into the bush with some equally unfortunate polo ponies by Kitchwin Hills Stud after her owner had decided he had no further use for her — her first eight foals (before Turnitup and Coroner) had managed only two minor wins.
Now Turnitup and Coroner are winning, guess what? They now want to find No Finding.
The parties involved turned a fully domesticated animal into the bush, not caring about her ultimate fate. The did not care if she was attacked and maimed, had overgrown feet, suffered from hypothermia … the possibilities are endless.
Could they not find her a good home where she could be safe, healthy and located?
Unsurprising that they should want her back now that the dollar signs are flashing before their eyes.
I for one hope that some kind soul has found her and that she is living it up. They don’t deserve her back!
