Picnic feast
With all the racing on these days, congratulations are in order to Winning Post for page 94 of your December 10 edition.
The whole page (in the Victoria/Tasmania/SA/WA edition) was dedicated to fields and form for the Yea picnics.
What an initiative shown by your paper. Perhaps your picnic correspondent John Kennedy had some influence on the decision. Hopefully you can keep publishing some picnic racing form over the busy Christmas holiday season if space permits.
For those who have not attended a picnic meeting, crowds are well above some minor city meetings.
Healesville (when racing) and also Drouin on Boxing Day have had some very substantial crowds in recent times.
