Just arrived home from shopping in Korumburra, where a chap was telling anyone who would listen what a great night he had at Moonee Valley on New Year’s Eve and how great the entertainment was afterwards. He also said he hopes they hold it again next year as he will be there.

Opened up the Winning Post Your Say and the very first letter was complaining that the meeting shouldn’t have been run. Seems to me RVL got this one right.

When you’ve got people going around telling all and sundry what a great night’s racing it was, it’s got to be good for racing and should encourage more people to go to the races.
