Mad as hell

When will you ever learn at Winning Post that the vast majority of serious horse players are heartily sick of your constant pandering to the horse-factory trainers — the megalomaniacs, who are always pushing themselves forward.

I am sure your readers would like to know more about the umpteen other trainers, with a whole lot of ability, who never get a mention. You don’t bring out the character within the industry by your constant pandering to the megalomaniacs.

The back-page article (10/3) on the ex-trainer Lee and current trainer Anthony (Freedman) was the perfect example of where your publication’s mind is — way off the beam.

You used all the old clichés like powerful, sterling and, perish the thought, spanked. God only knows what you mean by spanked.

If trainers on the tip of the Mornington Peninsula go any further south they will be training out of Heard Island.

This (sea change) environment, which is totally foreign to the equines, prevents them from breathing properly — hence the lack of success.

Maybe you should be discussing this aspect of the breed or are you just a simplistic punters’ publication?
