Not since Aidan O’Brien made the trip to Flemington a few years ago has the Melbourne Cup had pacemakers. And thank God for that, as we don’t need them to make our racing competitive.
However, I pick up the paper this week and see that Glencadam Gold is going to run in the Cup.
He cannot run a strong 2400m, and yet 3200m is his next step? Please.
