Cup solution
There has been an abundance of discussion recently in regards to the month in which the Adelaide Cup should be held.
The solution is elementary. Continues the public holiday in March and have a Magic Millions raceday on this date, with the yearling sales in the evening. Then shift the June Queen’s Birthday holiday to May and return the Adelaide Cup to that month.
If thoroughbred racing in SA is to continue to move forward with optimism then surely the state government should be supportive of such a decision.
The Adelaide Cup has a proud history and the status of the carnival can only be strengthened by such a positive move.
