Courage rewarded
Fantastic to see Boris Thornton ride his first winner on November 9 at his home track, Geelong.
Not too many of us have the intestinal fortitude to step up to the plate after being dealt a misfortune not of our own doing that could have cost the ultimate price. The gods were kind to him on that day.
It takes great courage to get back on, especially when you are only 15 years of age plying your trade against men.
Boris’s winning salute was fantastic and his smile infectious. His father and mother should be very proud.
