Depends who's asking
Last month, Bill Vlahos told racing authorities he would be a no-show at a hearing on February 27 at Racing Victoria’s headquarters. He kept his word. Apparently, Bill was concerned for his safety, and believed he would be unable to answer key questions posed by Racing Victoria’s head of integrity, Dayle Brown.
So it is quite remarkable that days later, Bill could willingly participate in an exclusive interview with the Herald Sun (published 6/3) titled "Bill Vlahos, the man accused of ripping off $144m from punters, breaks his silence".
How bizarre.
Bill was not shy in promoting his innocence to the Herald Sun, yet he could not find it in himself to face Racing Victoria to help explain The Edge/BC3 debacle.
It says something about the man!
