Riding, Craig
Let me begin by saying that I am not speaking from my hip pocket.
I witnessed one of the better rides I have ever seen at Flemington last Saturday. The jockey, Craig Newitt. The horse, the David Hayes-trained Unchain My Heart.
A wonderfully patient and well timed ride in one of the more open races on the program.
Those who punted the gelding in the 3200m Andrew Ramsden Stakes should reflect long and hard on the performance of this gifted and hugely underrated hoop.
