Not so super

Bill Corkrey’s first mate (9/8), who thinks “superstables” will result in higher-quality racing, is talking through his hat.
In any economic pursuit, smaller business units operate with greater efficiency. They are leaner and meaner, offsetting any economies of scale achieved by larger, flabbier operations.
To say nothing of the fact that the dominance of the “big three” has turned Sydney racing into a massive yawn.
Wake up, owners (and syndicates). Race your horse with a small, hungry stable and see the results.
