I went to college with veteran bookmaker Eric “Mo” Conlon at Forbes Marist Brothers 1944 to 1945. His older brother Greg was my best freind. Congratulations, Mo, on your 85th.
My racing friend Johnny Woods, a farmer from the Forbes district, said he was going to the races on Saturday March 7 and that he knew Mo.
So I said, if you’re talking to him, ask him if he’s ever seen a better horse than Bernborough. Johnny tells me his immediate answer was, “No, never.”
