Size isn't everything

While I generally agree that “a good big horse will always beat a good little horse,” I feel the word “always” should be amended to “most of the time”.
In the “big horse” category we have the mighty mare Black Caviar.
But among the little horses I wish to mention two outstanding champions of the past, both a bit smaller than average.
They are Tulloch, the 1957 Caulfield Cup winner, and Light Fingers, the 1965 Melbourne Cup winner who ran second the following year to the great Galilee.
