I was going to stay out of this but after reading Tony McKenzie’s letter (28/3), I just had to put my two cents worth in.
I have been a dedicated Winning Post reader and TVN viewer for years.
As with most things that change I was tentative about the switchover from TVN to Sky Thoroughbred Central.
On Golden Slipper day I had decided to watch Channel 7 as I was not interested in the other states. But who should bob up? None other than Richard Callander, of whom I am not a fan, so I switched over to Sky.
Great coverage of the Sydney races and it was great to see Caroline Searcy back on the tube. Brent Zerafa’s coverage of the beaten jockeys was fantastic, something that in the past we had to wait until Sunday morning to hear.
One other thing, Tony. If you are going to punt for a living and you’re going to watch Get On to do the form you should give it away old mate. You will be eating the paint off your walls.
