Gobsmacked
I am absolutely amazed at the comments of Paul Connors (18/4) re Sky Channel’s presentation versus TVN.
This gentleman (who writes more letters than anyone I know) must have friends or relatives on Sky. I find his observations completely the opposite to mine.
He says all Sky’s presenters are well spoken. I would like to know how far back from the TV does he sit because there are three staff (one quite elderly, the other two ex-jockeys) who do the provincial and country meetings and whose grammar and articulation is very poor.
I would have thought that now Sky has a monopoly on vision it should have the best of everything to bolster its already huge staff.
The coverage of Victorian racing by Sky is a disgrace. They have more people doing NSW racing alone than TVN had in total, yet TVN covered both states brilliantly.
I punt and watch racing seven days a week, and since the demise of TVN it is not as enjoyable.
