A fitting and everlasting tribute to the contribution the late Bart Cummings has made to racing in this country might be to name the home turn of Flemington racecourse “Bart’s Corner”.
The tribute would be particularly fitting as this training colossus won no fewer than 12 Melbourne Cups on this course over his 62-year training career.
It is a non-controversial idea that would be easy for Racing Victoria and the VRC to implement — and low-cost to boot.
