The peanut gallery was out in force as usual after Kyneton trainer George Osborne referred to his filly Miss Vista as a “people’s horse”.
I’m sure George is well aware Miss Vista has only won a maiden and a three-year-old fillies’ benchmark 70 and is not yet in the same category as Black Caviar, Buffering, The Cleaner or the horse to whom she bears some resemblance, Apache Cat.
Who cares? She looks amazing and goes like last week’s pay, which means she has the potential to attract the interest of people who otherwise wouldn’t turn around to watch a race if it was run through their back yard.
