Don't bag the picnics

Attending the Tatura race meeting on Friday February 17, I listened to the comments of on-course analysts as well as taking the time to listen to owners, who complained about the slagging of picnic racing in Victoria by announcers who don’t do their stats.
It seemed that any horse that had attended a picnic meeting had no ability in the announcers’ eyes and no place at a tab meeting.
If they took the time to study the form they would notice that a lot of TAB horses find it hard to win at the picnics, while picnic form can be good form at TAB level.
My suggestion to the announcers is always remember every horse has an owner and most have feelings. Get your facts right.
