Smiled when I picked up my Winning Post (8/10) and saw: “Finally, the queen makes it to headquarters.”
Headquarters? You are surely kidding.
There is only one headquarters in Australian racing, and that is Royal Randwick. Full stop. Winx, of course, has no peer in Aussie racing. But this is not about her.
Since when has Flemington been “headquarters”?
Once a year it’s the mecca for the Melbourne Cup.
But there’s no Everest in Melbourne — that’s at headquarters.
