Bush needs a bump
I watched with great interest an interview with the CEO of Racing Victoria, Giles Thompson, the other night on Racing.com
It is the first time I really felt someone was telling the truth and was looking after the owners and country racing.
How true it was when he said there should be better prizemoney for country racing.
I felt that the prizemoney increases Racing Victoria announced earlier this year were out of whack, weighted heavily towards feature city racing, and that they should increase country prizemoney ASAP.
Another plus from Racing Victoria this season is the period of racing-free Mondays. But why in the summertime, not winter?
Better still, close down racing entirely for a couple of weeks over the winter. Or would that be a bit radical?
