In response to Kevin Arthurson (Your Say January 5), a couple of points regarding Future In Doubt, a horse he felt was poorly named.
Firstly, this daughter of Not A Single Doubt needed to overcome a number of issues to make it to the races. At the time she was named there was no assurance about her future so rather than being poorly named, she was in fact very aptly named.
Secondly, while no longer racing in Victoria, she has not in fact been retired early. She now races for Dubbo-based trainer Connie Grieg.
