I never cease to be astounded by the offerings of some Winning Post readers. A while ago we had letters condemning our youth for what these people perceive as laziness because they will not accept a lowly-paid job that starts at 3am.
Now we have constant complaints that Winx will not journey overseas to race against the “world’s best”. Why should she?
Winx has nothing to prove to anyone. Australian racing is equal to any in the world so why don’t these so-called “world’s best” journey down here to compete against her?
We have had a great number of our horses compete overseas and they have more than held their own.
We should be proud that such a wonderful racehorse has proven itself to be world class within our own country, so stop knocking and denigrating Winx and Australian racing by saying she has not competed overseas and therefore has not been tested.
