Best of the best

Last weekend’s Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs, Kentucky, demonstrated why that two-day meeting is truly the World Cup of racing.
Watching four-year-old mare Enable win the prestigious Breeders’ Cup Turf (2400m) has convinced me she is the best racehorse in the world on turf.
Having won the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in 2017 and 2018, Enable is now the first Arc winner to win the BC Turf (some three weeks later).
Enable’s win also confirmed that Frankie Dettori is a wizard in the saddle.
Earlier, Frankie won the Breeders’ Cup Mile on the Sir Michael Stoute trained Expert Eye, a perfectly timed win by Frankie. What an amazing jockey!
