Hey ladies
By Winning Post, May 1, 2016 - 7:51 AM

The Group 1 focus switches to Morphettville this Saturday, where the ladies take centre stage.

The staying fillies duke it out in the Schweppes Oaks, while the sprinting fillies and mares match motors in the UBET Classic.

Among the UBET Classic contenders is Sultry Feeling, who is among the first runners for James Cummings in the city where his grandfather Bart made his bones.

Paul Richards's Morphettville preview will lead this week's Winning Post.

Elsewhere, the Queensland carnival heats up with a swag of features at the Gold Coast led by the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes for the weight-for-agers on their way to the Doomben Cup. Peter Lyne is tipping Sir Moments.

Our form coverage kicks off on Friday with full form guides for Wagga Wagga Gold Cup day as well as the meeting at Bendigo plus fields, colours and tips for the other Friday venues.

The metro racing this Saturday is at Flemington in Melbourne, Rosehill in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide, the Gold Coast in Queensland and Belmont in Perth.

Winning Post carries full-colour liftout guides for all those meetings plus Horsham (Vic/SA/Tas edition), Beaumont/Newcastle (NSW edition) and Ipswich (Queensland edition), as well as fields, tips, ratings and/or colours for other TAB Saturday cards.

On Sunday we've got liftout formguides for four more TAB meetings including Gunnedah Cup day plus fields, ratings, tips and colours for a stack more Sunday and Monday programs.

Don't forget Winning Post now carries trackwork reports for all four Melbourne training tracks, all three in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide and a general Brisbane report.

Away from the form, we've got news columns from Queensland, NSW, six Victorian districts, SA and Tasmania.

Our readers have their say on page 4, while further back in the book Shane Templeton reminisces, Paul Richards presents his unique take on the sport, Tony Kneebone brings you his Snippets column and Number Cruncher delivers the stats that matter.

Winning Post costs $5 and is available Thursday afternoon in selected Melbourne newsagents, the crack of dawn Friday elsewhere.
