The build-up to spring goes up a cog this Saturday with the return of champion Australian racehorse Winx at Randwick.

The mighty mare, unbeaten from her past nine starts including six Group 1s, resumes in the Group 2 Warwick Stakes over 1400m at weight-for-age.

The Randwick program also includes the Silver Shadow and Up & Coming for the new-season three-year-olds, the Show County and the Toy Show.

In Melbourne there's the Peter Lawrence, the Vain and Quezette at Caulfield, while in Adelaide some of SA's spring stars resume in the Spring Stakes.

Can anyone halt the Winx juggernaut? Highly unlikely, but Joel Marshall's Randwick preview will lead this week's Winning Post.
