Longford trainer John Blacker was the standout performer at Launceston on Wednesday night with a trio of victors.
He kicked off in the opening event, a 1200-metre maiden, with Double You Tee.
The three-year-old son of Written Tycoon was trapped wide on speed but dug deep under Jason Benbow to secure a narrow win.
Blacker and Benbow later combined to take the benchmark 82 handicap over 1400 metres with Magnasa, who drove through a gap late to secure the narrowest of victories.
Promising three-year-old Il Regalo rounded out Blacker’s treble, taking the Class 2 handicap over 1200 metres at her first run back from a break.
The daughter of Needs Further box-seated under Craig Newitt before wearing down race leader Geegee Trendsetter in the concluding stages to notch her third win from five outings.
Brighton trainer Stuart Gandy also had a good night at Launceston, with a pair of victors.
The first of them was Lovely Lady, who scored a strong on-pace win in the fillies-and-mares maiden plate over 1200 metres under Troy Baker.
Gandy later combined with Siggy Carr to take the benchmark 72 handicap over 1200 metres with Happy Halloween, who led throughout for an easy 2¼-length win.
