Hard to believe it, but Monash Stakes day is here already. The Caulfield Group 3 is the traditional launching pad for the early spring speedsters, pitted against the race-fit winter sprinters.
The race looks a good first-up fit for the Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained Crystal Dreamer.
Crystal Dreamer has been jumping out in pleasing style at Flemington, and started his 2017 spring campaign with a Group 3 placing over the same 1100-metre course.
The rising six-year-old was a listed winner later that campaign and has never missed a place first up.
Tony Kneebone's Monash preview will lead this week's Winning Post.
Internationally, Redkirk Warrior is out to atone for his Royal Ascot flop when he tackles the July Cup at Newmarket at 11.15pm AEST on Saturday. The field wasn't finalised in time for us to preview the race in the paper but we have a great shot of the course on the front page.
Our form coverage kicks off on Friday with full form guides for bet365 Geelong synthetic and Scone as well as fields, colours and selections for Canberra and Toowoomba.
The metro racing this Saturday is at Caulfield in Melbourne, Rosehill in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide, the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and Belmont in Perth.
Winning Post carries full-colour liftout guides for all those meetings plus Wodonga (Vic/SA/Tas edition), Wyong (NSW edition) and Gold Coast (Queensland edition), as well as fields, tips, ratings and/or colours for other TAB Saturday cards.
On Sunday we've got liftout formguides for four more TAB meetings plus fields, ratings, tips and colours for a stack more Sunday and Monday programs.
Don't forget Winning Post now carries trackwork reports for all four Melbourne training tracks, all three in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide and a general Brisbane report.
Away from the form, we've got news columns from Queensland, NSW, six Victorian districts, SA and Tasmania.
