Bulls market
By Winning Post, May 19, 2019 - 9:15 AM

He didn't have much luck with Osborne Bulls this autumn, but Godolphin trainer James Cummings is hoping for better fortune with Home of the Brave in this Saturday's Group 1 Kingsford Smith Cup (1300m) at Eagle Farm.

Can the Godolphin camp pick up yet another Group 1 in their most successful Australian season? We'll find out on Saturday.

The Kingsford Smith Cup heads a high-quality Eagle Farm program, also featuring the BRC Sires' Produce, the Premier's Cup, the Glenlogan Park Stud Stakes, the Lord Mayor's Cup, the Grand Prix and the Fred Best Classic.

Elsewhere it's McKell Cup day at Randwick, Andrew Ramsden/Straight Six day at Flemington and opening day at Belmont.

On Sunday jumps racing returns to town with the Ausralian Hurdle and Steeple at Ladbrokes Park.

Our form coverage kicks off on Friday with full form guides for the big Finals Night meeting at Cranbourne plus Geelong and Casino (Beef Week Cup day) during the day as well as fields, colours and selections for Canberra, Ipswiich and Carnarvon.

The metro racing this Saturday is at Flemington in Melbourne, Randwick in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide, Eagle Farm in Brisbane and Belmont in Perth.

Winning Post carries full-colour liftout guides for all those meetings plus Warracknabeal (Vic/SA/Tas edition), Gosford (NSW edition) and Gold Coast (Queensland edition), as well as fields, tips, ratings and/or colours for other TAB Saturday cards.

On Sunday we've got liftout formguides for four more TAB meetings including Nowra Cup day and the big jumps day at Ladbrokes Park, plus fields, ratings, tips and colours for a stack more Sunday and Monday programs.

Don't forget Winning Post now carries trackwork reports for all four Melbourne training tracks, all three in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide and a general Brisbane report.

Away from the form, we've got news columns from Queensland, NSW, six Victorian districts, SA and Tasmania.

Our readers have their say on page 6, while elsewhere in the paper Shane Templeton reminisces, Paul Richards presents his unique take on the sport, Tony Kneebone brings you his Snippets column and Number Cruncher delivers the stats that matter.

Winning Post costs $5.50 and is available Thursday afternoon in selected Ballarat newsagents, the crack of dawn Friday elsewhere.
