Go the Goddess

This week's Winning Post is now available online here

The big races keep coming at the Brisbane carnival, with this Saturday's centrepiece the Queensland Oaks.

Sunshine Coast mare Gypsy Goddess looks mighty hard to beat in the classic following her fast-finishing second in the Gold Coast Bracelet over 1800 metres and, before that, her Australian Oaks second to El Patroness.

Back to 2400m and back to Eagle Farm, where she's unbeaten from two starts, the Goddess will be a popular commodity.

Support races at the Farm include the Group 2 Moreton Cup, offering a chance for a late berth in the Stradbroke, four listed races and the new Magic Millions National Classic, a weight-for-age fillies-and-mares mile worth $500,000.

Elsewhere it's Winter Cup day at Rosehill, while the winter series heats continue at Flemington.

Our form coverage kicks off on Friday with a full form guide for the Pakenham meeting, plus fields, colours, previews and tips for a stack more Friday meetings.

The metro racing this Saturday is at Flemington in Melbourne, Rosehill in Sydney, Morphettville Parks in Adelaide, Eagle Farm in Brisbane and Belmont in Perth.

Winning Post carries full-colour liftout guides for all those meetings plus Bendigo (Vic/SA edition), Newcastle (NSW edition) and Gold Coast (Qld edition), as well as fields, tips, ratings and/or colours for other TAB Saturday cards.

On Sunday and Anzac Day Monday we've got liftout formguides for three more TAB meetings (plus Hobart in the Tassie edition), as well as fields, ratings, tips and colours for a stack more Sunday and Monday programs.

Don't forget Winning Post now carries trackwork reports for four Victorian training tracks, three in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide and a general Brisbane report.

Away from the form, we've got news columns from NSW, six Victorian districts, SA and Tasmania.

Our readers have their say on page 4, while further back in the book Shane Templeton reminisces, Paul Richards presents his unique take on the sport, Tony Kneebone brings you his Snippets column and Number Cruncher delivers the stats that matter.

Winning Post costs $5.50 and is available Thursday afternoon online ($5), the crack of dawn Friday in shops.
