Western Victoria: Harry's glad to be back
By Tim Auld, November 3, 2025 - 12:52 PM

Warrnambool jockey Harry Grace resumed riding last week after recovering from a race fall at Caulfield on Saturday June 28.
Grace broke his right wrist in two places and right collarbone as a result of the fall from the Maddi Raymond and Patrick Bell-trained Rolls.
“It’s great to be back,” the young jockey said. “I really missed it.
“I had to do a lot of rehabilitation to get right, especially with my wrist. It had been extremely painful.
“I’m back riding work for Tom Dabernig as well as Maddie Raymond and Patrick Bell. They’ve all been great to me.
“My weight got out to 56kg while I was on the sidelines but now I’ve got it down to 50.
“I’ve got a few rides booked over the next week or so and I’m just hoping I might be able to kick home a winner or two.”
Grace and his partner, fellow jockey Jordyn Weatherley, took a trip to Japan while he was out of the saddle.
“Jordyn and I really love Japan,”he said. “It’s a great place to relax and we decided to have a break there when I was injured.
“One day I might even look at going over there to ride on the National Association of Racing circuit.”
Grace has ridden more than 200 winners, including Rolls in the 2023 Warrnambool Cup.
