Strathalbyn-based husband-and-wife trainers Shayne and Chelsea Cahill left Morphettville last Saturday with big smiles after landing a running double on the Parks track.
The Cahills brought up their first winner when Mintulee ($11) raced one off the pace under Alana Livesey before proving too strong in a benchmark 74 over 1000 metres.
The Cahills won the next, a 0-64 affair over 1000 metres, when four-year-old gelding Enuff Seduction ($3.10 favourite) came from the rear with a strong outside run.
That win also made it a double for jockey Angela Jones, who’d earlier led all the way on Autumn Frost ($16) in a Class 1 handicap over 1300 metres.
Autumn Frost’s win was the second leg of a training double on a big day for Richard and Chantelle Jolly.
Last-start Strathalbyn winner Dancing Storm ($3.70) had won the previous, a 1250-metre restricted handicap, for the Jollys with stable jockey Jake Toeroek aboard.
The Jollys made it three winners across two states when Craig Williams guided Aviatress ($3.80 favourite) to a last-stride win in the listed Doveton Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield.
On a day of doubles at the Parks meeting, apprentice Alysha Warren combined with Telopea Downs trainer Darryl Dodson for successive winners.
They scored with I Catchem Fox ($3.80) in a benchmark 66 over 1550 metres and Captain Joolian ($6.50) in a benchmark 64 over 1400 metres.
Alyssa stars at Ceduna
Apprentice Alyssa Webb took the points at the non-TAB meeting at Ceduna last Saturday with a treble, while Murray Bridge trainer Garret Lynch had a double.
Webb’s winners were Master Charlie ($2.70 favourite) for Lynch, Catalina Blue ($6) for co-trainers Trent and Laura Allen and the Megan Gillespie-trained Diamonds Are ($3.50 favourite).
Lynch completed his double with Strasbeau ($5), ridden by Zoe Lloyd.
