The Fleurieu Peninsula-based stable of David Jolly and Justin Potter had one of their best days since forming their partnership when they landed a double at Murray Bridge last Saturday. 
The pair brought up their first winner with Golden Cloud ($4.60 favourite), who came from near last under Jake Toeroek to take out a 1200-metre Class 2.
The lightly raced four-year-old has had five starts for two wins, two thirds and a fourth. With two wins from three starts this time in, he could progress to a higher level later in the spring.
Last-start winner Heart Of The Med ($5.50) gave Jolly and Potter their double in the 0-64 Thomas Farms Handicap (1100m), also completing a running double for apprentice Shayleigh Ingelse.
Ingelse had taken the previous race, in 0-68 grade over 1400 metres, with Final Countdown ($7.50) for Horsham trainer Paul Preusker.
Ingelse shared the riding honours at the Bridge with fellow apprentice Rose Hammond, who brought up the first leg of a back-to-back double on Up The Den ($12) in the benchmark 74 over 1000 metres for Michael Hickmott.
Hammond completed her double on Freedom Flame ($4 favourite) in the benchmark 74 Carlton Draught Murray Bridge Gold Cup Prelude (1600m). 
Prepared at Morphettville by Hammond’s master Andrew Gluyas, Freedom Flame produced the day’s most visually stunning win, flying down the outside over the final 150 metres from near last to get up in a tight photo finish.
Partners strike again
In-form co-trainers Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle have joined Phillip and Tommy Stokes at the top of the Adelaide premiership following win of Czech Out ($6.50) in the Sportsbet Jockey Watch Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1000m). 
With Taylor Johnstone aboard, Czech Out ran on from midfield to score a well earned second-up breakthrough. The Prague gelding’s first five starts had yielded a second, a third and two fourths.
Richards and Moyle now have eight Adelaide wins from 41 starters for 2026/27, a strike rate of 19.5 per cent.
The co-trainers almost made it a big weekend when Pretty Baby ran second to Regal Ambition in the listed Jim Moloney Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Sunday.
Three for Mick
Wellington trainer Michael Hickmott took the honours in style at Strathalbyn last Sunday, winning the first two races and the last.
 His winners were Magic Voyager ($26) in a 1350-metre maiden, Make Me A Match ($3.50) in a 1200-metre maiden and Darci Lane ($3.60) in a 1600-meter Class 1. Teagan Voorham, Harry Grace and Jacob Opperman were their respective riders.
