Darwin deserves more
Day one of the Darwin Cup carnival was Saturday July 4, with the main race being the $50,000 Darwin Guineas.
This event was the first leg of a bonus treble, the other legs being the NT Derby (Saturday July 18) and Darwin Cup (Monday August 3).
SuperTAB was operating on the last three races but there was no Sky Channel telecast or radio broadcast on 927.
There was coverage on TVN up to race eight (the Guineas).
Good luck to any punter who wished to find the fields listed in any publication.
Winning Post had one full page of NZ racing. Why not promote a fantastic carnival like Darwin?
It deserves better.
