I write to endorse the comments of Ike Nicholson (30/7), headed “Just listen”.
In October 2005 I wrote to the then manager of Radio Sport 927 (now RSN) requesting that the host of one panel discussion refrain from interrupting others in the course of their comments.
The manager responded by letter: “I concur with your comments that unnecessary interruptions are frustrating.” He also promised to have a word with the host concerned.
I don’t know if Ike is referring to the same bloke, but the manager’s discussion with him had little or no lasting effect as he is still interrupting almost 11 years later.
