Moving tribute
After reading about Mark Goring in Winning Post (19/4), I attended Saturday’s Tatura Cup meeting.
It was wonderful to see four generations of the Goring family there to make the presentations after Marmaduke Jinx won the Mark Goring Memorial.
Goring’s daughter Maddy showed great maturity in delivering a touching speech before her brother Mitch, dressed in his father’s riding kit, presented a whip to the winning rider, Jason Lyon. Full credit should go to all those involved in putting together this moving tribute.
