Rather than trash-talking Black Caviar, perhaps Joe Pride should worry more about how he places his own horses.
Rain Affair remains a Group 1 maiden after five starts at that level, despite getting soft leads on several of those occasions.
His record at Group 2 level on the other hand is good — four starts for three wins.
Perhaps it’s time Joe came to the realisation that he’s a Group 2 horse and started placing him accordingly.
