I just read Paul Richards’s article on Manikato (26/10) and I have a question.
Match race, 1200 metres at Moonee Valley, track good. Manikato barrier three, Black Caviar barrier five. Both carry 57kg. Betting: 9/10 Manikato, 10/9 Black Caviar, 100/1 dead heat Jockeys: Willetts, Nolen.

On another topic, there were two errors in Backtrack (26/10).
Solvit did not come from midfield to win the 1994 Cox Plate. He led all the way.
And in 1969 Big Philou did not have to withstand a 35-minute protest to keep the Caulfield Cup. The protest (by Big Philou against Nausori) was upheld.
