Richo’s story on Reckless (28/2) was a very good article about a great racehorse.
What a shame he was not supported at stud — he only stood for three years and had very few bookings.
Maybe if he had been better supported our recent Melbourne Cup winners would not be coming from overseas.
I hope someday we will do something about this as it seems crazy that the world’s richest staying race (Melbourne Cup) is continually being won by overseas-bred stayers.
