I refer to the photo in Your Say (4/2) of the two ex-jumpers Sallum and Cash Advance. Great to see their owner/trainer John O’Connor ensuring the two old-timers have a richly deserved and contented retirement.
It can also be noted that Happy Trails is enjoying life now as a show jumper.
The tracking of racehorses and their post-racing welfare is of paramount importance to the racing industry going forward. It is vital to a healthier image of thoroughbred racing in this day and age. Responsible horse ownership is to be encouraged.
