I am puzzled by jockey movements in Victoria over the past six months.
Take Brad Rawiller, for instance.
He set a record for most winners in a season (217) only two years ago, yet at the recent Ballarat midweeker there were 54 acceptors in his weight range (57kg plus) and all Brad could get was two rides. Why?
I also understand that as well as Brad Rawiller there are Steven Arnold, James Winks, Matt Pumpa and Glen Boss all riding work for David Hayes. As Hayes has a winning strike rate in Victoria this season of only nine percent there are certainly not enough winners to share around.
Even if Hayes finds a champion only one jockey will be lucky.
On another topic, I would like to congratulate TVN, Bruce Clark and Caroline Searcy for the great coverage of the Easter sales.
