Last Saturday I rang the TAB fixed odds. I asked for $200 on a horse at Rockhampton at $3.80 for the win.
The operator said that she would put it through to the booking cleark to get the okay.
After a minute or so the operator said that the booking clerk had refused the bet.
Are they kidding or what? For a loss of $560 they refused the bet.
I along with lots of other punters get approached by other betting agencies for our business and I now am thinking it’s time for a change.
I cannot believe that an operation supposedly holding millions of dollars would reject a bet that if it won would be a $560 payout.
I still find it hard to believe this happened, but rest assured it did.
It makes one doubt the veracity of reported bets amounting to huge figures.
