Joel dominated the “weekend specials” page on the weekend. I hadn’t even left for Caulfield when some of his New Zealand tips saluted! Firstly Blue on Black at the juicy odds of $18, then debutant Son of Bielski careered away at $8 in a field of only five runners — but the best was yet to come.
At Randwick Dark Pearl and Rare Episode both won at good odds, then the rather large cherry on the cake — Exasperate winning race eight in Melbourne at a magnificent 40 to one.
Wow! My bank account says many thanks to Joel. Hope the man himself made a packet out of such a red letter day.
