Accentuate the positive
Liked the article Shane Templeton wrote (12/1) on former racehorse trainer Dr Geoff Chapman, written by a journalist who knows his job, unlike others who write columns degrading racing every week.
One week it’s too hot to race, the next it’s jockeys having a bet, which has been going on since racing started.
The old-time journalists who wrote on racing knew more than most people, including stewards, but most of it they did not reveal.
I class today’s negativity as bringing the sport into disrepute.
