It won't be the same
To say I am disappointed about the demise of TVN is a great understatement. I have been a loyal supporter every racing day since TVN began.
I do not understand how this could have happened as I thought NSW and Victoria had a solid agreement as to the future for vision of thoroughbred racing, which TVN has done brilliantly. TVN’s presentation over the years absolutely killed the offering that Sky Channel put forward.
It appears to me, as in most walks of life, that money (or greed) and jealousy (between states) has a lot to do with this.
My racing days will not be the same without Richie Callander, Jason Richardson, Dean Pettit, Mark Shean, Terry Bailey, Shane Templeton and Adam Olszanski.
Congratulations to the Victorian racing clubs for having the foresight to start TVN, proving Victoria is the number-one racing state. This is coming from a born-and-bred Queenslander.
