What a remarkable achievement by Jamie Kah to rewrite the record books in Victorian racing. She is an exceptional horse person, a beautiful rider with great balance, poise and light hands on the horse. I believe her riding style bears comparison to the great Joao Moreira and the late Darby McCarthy.
She enabled me, at age 87, to tick off my lifelong racing bucket-list item when she rode (and won on) my first metro runner — Ice Ice Baby at Moonee Valley last October.
It was one of her best rides. The horse drew wide, raced three wide, no cover, and got the chocolates.
May success continue to follow her career and life, culminating in the fulfilment of her quest to be an Olympian.
